Corrosion resistance
SUS316L contains molybdenum (2%-3%), which significantly improves the corrosion resistance in reducing salt, inorganic acid, organic acid, alkali and salt environments, and is especially suitable for chloride corrosion scenarios. Its low carbon content (≤0.03%) further enhances the resistance to intergranular corrosion, and it can maintain good corrosion resistance without annealing after welding. ‌

Physical properties
The density is 7.93 g/cm³, the tensile strength is ≥480 MPa, the yield strength is ≥175 MPa, and the elongation is ≥40%. The work hardening rate is low, and it is easy to cold roll, bend and form while maintaining high-precision dimensions. ‌

Application scenarios
It is suitable for harsh environments such as chemical equipment, seawater treatment, papermaking industry and nuclear industry, and can withstand temperatures ranging from -20℃ to +315℃, with a maximum thickness of 4mm.
