Corrosion resistance

SS321 is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel with titanium added in an amount of at least 5 times the carbon content. The addition of titanium reduces or prevents the sensitization of carbide precipitation during welding and when used in the temperature range of 425-815\u00b0C. It also improves certain properties at high temperatures. SS321 has excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion and has good creep strength.
