Mechanical properties:
After heat treatment, it has high strength and toughness.
Under quenching and tempering of bars, yield strength ≥345MPa, tensile strength ≥540MPa, elongation ≥25%, shrinkage ≥55%, Charpy impact value ≥98J/cm², hardness ≥159HBW.
Under annealing of plates and strips, yield strength ≥205MPa, tensile strength ≥440MPa, elongation ≥20%
Corrosion resistance:
It has good corrosion resistance and is suitable for general use, but not suitable for harsh corrosive environments.
It can resist corrosion from some strong acids, strong alkalis and seawater.
SS410S (a derivative steel of SS410) can still maintain good corrosion resistance in an environment with high chloride content
Processing performance:
Good mechanical processing performance.
410F2 is a lead-free cutting steel that does not reduce the corrosion resistance of 410 steel.
410S is a steel grade that improves the corrosion resistance and forming performance of 410 steel.
It has good weldability, abrasion resistance, bending processability, etc.
High temperature performance:
It has good high temperature oxidation resistance and can maintain stable performance in high temperature environment (such as below 800℃).
In high temperature atmosphere, it can form a dense passivation film, thus having good oxidation resistance
Application field:
It is widely used in food industry and medical industry.
It is used to manufacture food containers, kitchen equipment, stainless steel nipple railings, stainless steel medical tools, etc.
