The main features of SS316 stainless steel coil are as follows:
Corrosion resistance: SS316 stainless steel coil contains molybdenum, which makes it superior to ordinary 304 stainless steel in corrosion resistance. In particular, in environments containing chlorides, such as seawater and salt-damaged areas, SS316 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance.
High temperature performance: The heat resistance temperature of SS316 stainless steel coil is about 800-900℃. However, it should be noted that as the temperature increases, the strength of the material decreases, so it cannot be used in all environments below the heat resistance temperature.
Mechanical properties: The mechanical properties of SS316 stainless steel coil include tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and cross-sectional shrinkage. These performance indicators are specified by the JIS standard and meet the corresponding numerical requirements.
Processing performance: SS316 stainless steel coil has good cold workability and weldability. However, due to the presence of molybdenum, its machinability is relatively poor.
