Corrosion resistance
SUS304L is an austenitic stainless steel with a chromium content of 18%-20%, a nickel content of 9%-13%, and a carbon content of ≤0.03%, which effectively reduces the precipitation of carbides in the heat-affected zone of welding and significantly reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion. It maintains stable performance in the temperature range of -196℃ to 800℃, and is especially suitable for chemical equipment, pressure vessels and other scenes with high requirements for corrosion resistance.
Mechanical properties
Tensile strength ≥520MPa, yield strength ≥205MPa, elongation ≥40%, cross-sectional shrinkage ≥60%, hardness ≤187HB. Its single-phase austenite structure is non-magnetic and still maintains good toughness after processing.
Processing characteristics
It can be cold and hot processed, supports complex forming processes such as welding, stamping, and bending, and can form a strong joint without additional welding materials. It still maintains corrosion resistance after welding, which is suitable for manufacturing precision parts and complex structural components.
Application scenarios
Widely used in chemical equipment, petroleum and coal industry equipment, pressure vessels, outdoor decorative materials and food processing equipment, etc., especially recommended for applications that require welding and are sensitive to intergranular corrosion.
